Cutie pies

I cant believe my baby is 2 months old. We took Hunter to his 2 month doctor appointment last week. He weighs 12 pounds and is 23 inches long. Holy cow!! He has gained over 4 pounds, and has grown 3 inches since he was born. Hunter LOVES to eat. He would spend all day eating if I would let him. You can tell he eats just by looking at those big fat cheeks. I think he might be a big boy.

He has been smiling controllable for 2 weeks now. His little personality is coming out. He is very strong he holds his head up all on his own. He has been trying to hold on to things like my hair. He is very alert, he loves looking at everything. He loves to talk to us too. He talks to Halie the most. She sits and tells him stories and he just smiles and talks back to her. She gets to excited. She always tells us she loves her little brother.

As you can see she loves him. Sometimes I really wonder what he thinks. She kinda smothers him a little.

Cupcakes

Halie got a cupcake maker for her birthday this year and we never have used it. The other day she was hiding in my closet and came out with the cupcake maker and wanted to play. We made a cupcake and doesn't it look appealing? I remember when I had an Easy Bake Oven. I thought the food was so good. Well now looking back it was probably pretty gross. We followed the directions, but it didn't taste very good.

Halie sure liked it. When she was done she wanted to make another for me. I said lets make one for daddy instead.

Sleeping

This is what happends to tired little girls who spend hours outside in the hot sun swimming. When she decided to stop playing like she was Ariel, she asked to watch a movie. I started her favorite movie Little Mermaid, and 2 minutes later this is what I found. She got this princess sleeping bag when we went camping a few weeks ago. Now she wants to sleep in it all the time. I let her watch movies in it. She thinks it a real treat to play with sleeping bag.

Brett is on mountain bikes for the summer, so now he comes home everyday really tired. He wants to take naps when he gets home. I keep telling him if I don't get one neither do you. I was playing on the internet and the whole house got really quiet. I turned around and saw Brett and Hunter sleeping on the bed.

Daddy Time

Both our kids love their dad, specially Halie. Brett plays anything she wants him to. Halie loves to play tea party, and wear her tu tu . Brett always has sunglasses with him. While we were sitting on the couch the sun was really bright so Halie went and got glasses for them to wear. I think he looks good in little girl glasses. What do you think?I just thought this picture was adorable.

Nap time

Halie, since she was born, has never been a napper. One day this week, I found Halie asleep like this on the couch with a big pile of drool underneath her mouth.
Since Hunter has been born, they never have been asleep together, other than at night. Brett and I didn't know what to do, so I just fell asleep too.

Hunter is a sleeping fool. He is always asleep and if he is not then he is eating.

Halie's new house

Grandma and grandpa Huish sent this fun little house and slide to Halie last week. Everyday the first thing she asks for is to go outside and play with her house and swim in her pool. Anytime we open the back door she somehow already has her shoes on, and is out the door in her house.
Don't mind all the dirt and weeds in the back yard. Someday we will actually have a fence, and grass to play on.

The newest edition to our family HUNTER!

On April 10 Hunter joined our crazy family. He was 7 lbs 14 ozs and 20 in long. So far our life has been absolutely insane. He had jaundice for the first 10 days really bad, so we had to put him in his very own tanning bed, and have him tested everyday. It was so sad to watch the nurses take blood from his little feet. Hunter is definately a different baby than Halie. Halie was the perfect baby she never cried and slept through the night on the 2nd night home. Hunter is a bit colicy and doesnt want to sleep at night. He is fussy at night and has so much gas it isnt funny. I am not the nicest person in the world when I don't get sleep, so it has been really hard. The good news is it can only get better.

Halie has been the biggest helper. Sometimes more than you need or want. She loves to get the diapers and bring his clothes for bed. I know she loves being a big sister. She is constently kissing him. We have to watch her because no matter how many times we say be soft she just doesn't understand the meaning. When he cries she covers her ears and tells him to be quiet. Then she tells us Huntoo is being loud. Halie has called him buddy boy, or baby Huntoo since we found out we were having a boy.

Hunter has Brett's looks and personality already. Now both my kids are spitting images of their dad. I guess I just carry them for 9 months and that's all. I just want someone to say oh they look like you a little. It has been insane having 2 kids, but a lot of fun too.
